Seaton Carew Golf Club, established in 1874, holds the distinction of being one of England's oldest golf clubs. Situated on the coast near Hartlepool, this esteemed links course has evolved over time, notably shaped by the significant redesign work of Dr. Alister MacKenzie in the 1920s. Later additions by Frank Pennink in the 1970s contributed to the club's unique offering of 22 holes, allowing for several different 18-hole configurations, including the layout known as the New Course. Playing Seaton Carew provides an authentic links experience, characterized by its natural dunes, challenging bunkers, and greens influenced by the coastal wind. As a championship venue, Seaton Carew has a history of hosting prestigious amateur events, including the Brabazon Trophy and the English Amateur Championship, underscoring its challenging layout. The club is recognised among the top 100 courses in Great Britain and Ireland.
