Eaglescliffe Golf Club, nestled beside the River Tees with the Cleveland Hills providing a picturesque backdrop, offers a parkland golf experience in the North East of England. The club's history dates back to 1914, initially on a different site before relocating to its current home in 1928 with a design by the esteemed James Braid. The course evolved over the years, with contributions from Henry Cotton in the late 1960s to bring it to its present 18-hole, par 72 layout. Playing at 6,289 yards from the white tees, the course is known for its rolling terrain and sloping greens, presenting a consistent challenge. Notable holes include the par-5 14th, which requires a tee shot across a bend in the River Tees, and the downhill par-3 17th played over a pond. Eaglescliffe Golf Club has not been a venue for Open Championship Qualifying.
