John Hamilton Stutt Designed Golf Courses

John Hamilton Stutt was a British golf course architect who became a key figure in the renowned Hawtree firm, eventually taking over the practice established by Fred W Hawtree. Active primarily from the mid-to-late 20th century, Stutt designed and extensively remodelled numerous courses across the UK and continental Europe, known for a style that blended challenge with the natural landscape. His notable projects include significant work at Wentworth (Edinburgh course), Gleneagles, The Wisley, and remodelling courses like La Manga Club's South Course.
