Nestled in the picturesque Cornish countryside, the Kernow course at St. Mellion Estate offers a compelling parkland golf experience with a rich history. Originally opening in 1976 as the Old Course, the layout was the work of J. Hamilton Stutt and quickly gained recognition, hosting European Tour events such as the Benson & Hedges International Open and the Tournament Players' Championship, as well as the Weetabix Ladies British Open. The course underwent significant redevelopment in 2008-2010 under the guidance of Alan Leather, incorporating some of the original holes while introducing new elements. Playing to a par of 70 over 18 holes, the Kernow provides a fine complement to the estate's more renowned Nicklaus course, featuring memorable holes including the testing par-3 14th with its demanding shot over water.
