Barton-on-Sea Golf Club, situated on the coastal cliffs of Hampshire, England, boasts a rich history dating back to 1897. Originally a 9-hole course for guests of the Barton Court Hotel, the club evolved through various layouts designed by notable architects like Harry Vardon and Harry Colt. The current 27-hole configuration, a blend of Colt's 1932 work and J. Hamilton Stutt's additions from 1992, offers three loops: Becton, Needles, and Stroller. The Needles and Stroller combination provides a challenging round with coastal views. The course is known for its well-maintained fairways and greens, offering a test for golfers of varying abilities. While not consistently listed among the top-tier courses, it remains a respected club with a strong local presence and has hosted regional qualifying tournaments.
