Broadstone Golf Club, situated in the picturesque Dorset countryside, is a distinguished heathland course with a rich history dating back to 1898. Originally known as the Dorset Golf Club, the initial layout was designed by Tom Dunn. The course underwent a significant redesign in 1914 by the renowned architect Harry Colt, who incorporated more of the natural heathland to create the course largely as it is seen today. Broadstone is set within 250 acres of rolling terrain, featuring fairways that wind through heather, pine, gorse, and rhododendrons. While not overly long, the course provides a true test of accuracy and strategic play, with elevation changes adding to the challenge. It has been recognised as one of the top 100 golf courses in the UK and has hosted a number of prestigious amateur events, including the English Women's Amateur and The Women's Amateur championships. The club was also formerly an Open Qualifying course.
