An iconic Scottish championship links stretching over 7000 yards from the back tees. An original Willie Campbell design dating back to 1891 and redesigned in 2018 by David J. Russell to modern championship standards, this course is now designed to be played in all conditions.

The hotel’s 43 rooms and lodges overlook the links and Laggan Bay, and the award-winning restaurant and bar serves local seafood with panoramic views. Iconic traditional championship links with a modern flair
Hole 2 (par 5) - The wind off the sea will blow your ball towards the burn, play more safe to the right that you would expect to.Hole 7 (par 4) - While driveable in favourable conditions, beware of the runoff to the left of the green. From there, the resulting chip is incredibly difficult with the green running away from you.Hole 15 (par 4 ) - Swales to the left and runoff to the right protect the green. Miss it and expect your short game to be tested, albeit one with interesting options.Hole 17 (par 4) - Aim to drive over the ridge line on the left half of the fairway. Anything short or right of it will leave a blind shot over the dunes.Hole 9 (par 3) - Distance control is essential, miss the green long and there is little chance of recovery from the surrounding dunes.
Accommodation
Standard are double rooms located on the ground and first floor with views of the dunes or courtyard. Fresh and modern style in style, they are ready for relaxing, with desk, seating and eclectic artwork. Some are dog friendly too.
The better rooms are the most versatile room, being a little larger than the standard. Comes with views overlooking the golf links or Islay countryside, desk and seating area. Available as a twin or double with king and super-king beds, with desk and seating area. Some have space for an extra bed or cot, and some are dog friendly.
Bigger than best and standard rooms, with twin or super king-size beds, and views over the ocean, golf links or Islay countryside. Some have space for an extra bed and a cot.
Split over two levels with breath-taking sunset views across the golf course and the Atlantic Ocean, kitchenette and living/dining space. Open-plan living; with the dining/living area and kitchenette on the second floor, and the bedroom on the lower floor with king-size bed and enough room for children and a cot. Separate bathtub and shower. It has the option to be turned into a two-bedroomed suite. This room is not dog friendly.
Flexible living amongst the dunes, with direct access onto the golf links and uninterrupted sunset views across to the Atlantic beyond. Single storey with French doors opening onto an outdoor seating area. Featuring super king-size or twin beds in the bedrooms, with space for z-bed and a cot. The pantry kitchen includes an oven, two-ring hob, dishwasher, fridge, basic cooking equipment and crockery and cutlery.
