App End User Terms

1. About the App

The Golf Sherpa app helps golfers and event participants access golf-related tools, including:

• Golfer profile creation
• Round tracking
• Digital scorecards
• Live scoring
• Live leaderboards
• Event joining through invite links
• Competition and tournament information
• GPS and course information
• Digital itineraries
• Group golf features
• App-based event communication

Features may change over time.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account unless you have permission from a parent or guardian.

If you use the app on behalf of a club, venue, business, charity, organiser or event, you confirm that you have authority to do so.

3. Your Account

You are responsible for:

• Keeping your login details secure
• Providing accurate information
• Updating your information when it changes
• All activity carried out through your account

We may suspend or close accounts where we believe there has been misuse, fraud, inaccurate information, security risk or breach of these terms.

4. Golfer Information

You may be asked to provide information such as your name, email address, phone number, handicap, home club, playing ability, event details, scoring data, location data or other golf-related information.

You must ensure any information you provide is accurate and not misleading.

5. Scoring and Leaderboards

The app may calculate scores, points, leaderboard positions or competition results.

While we aim to make scoring tools accurate, results may depend on information entered by users, organisers or third-party systems.

Event organisers remain responsible for checking final results where prizes, awards, handicaps or competition outcomes are involved.

6. GPS and Course Information

The app may provide GPS, course, yardage or mapping information.

GPS and mapping information is provided as a guide only and may be affected by device accuracy, signal quality, mapping data or course changes.

You must not rely on the app where doing so may create a safety risk.

7. Event Participation

If you join an event through the app, you may be subject to additional event terms, venue rules or organiser instructions.

You must follow all event rules, course rules, etiquette, safety instructions and organiser guidance.

8. Acceptable Use

You must not:

• Submit false scores or misleading information
• Interfere with events or leaderboards
• Abuse, harass or impersonate others
• Upload unlawful, offensive or harmful content
• Misuse invite links
• Attempt to access another user’s account
• Reverse engineer or copy the app
• Use bots, scraping or automated access
• Use the app for unlawful purposes

9. App Availability

We aim to provide a reliable service but do not guarantee that the app will always be available, uninterrupted or error-free.

The app may be affected by maintenance, updates, device issues, internet connection, mobile signal, app store rules or third-party service providers.

10. Free and Paid Features

Some app features may be free. Others may require payment, subscription, event access, organiser invitation or venue access.

Where paid features are introduced, pricing and payment terms will be shown before purchase.

11. App Store Terms

If you download the app through the Apple App Store or Google Play, their terms may also apply.

Those platforms are not responsible for Golf Sherpa’s services unless required under their own terms.

12. Intellectual Property

The app, software, design, branding, content, graphics, scoring logic, layouts and related materials belong to Golf Sherpa LTD or its licensors.

You are granted a personal, limited, revocable, non-transferable licence to use the app in accordance with these terms.

13. User Content

If you submit scores, comments, images, event information or other content, you grant Golf Sherpa a licence to use that content as reasonably required to operate the app and provide services.

You must not upload content that infringes another person’s rights.

14. Data Protection

We process personal data in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

The app may collect data including account details, scoring information, device information, location information, event participation information and communications preferences.

15. Termination

You may stop using the app at any time.

You may request account deletion by contacting us.

We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these terms or misuse the service.

16. Liability

The app is provided as a golf support and engagement tool. It is not a substitute for official club, venue, tournament or organiser decisions.

We are not liable for losses caused by inaccurate user-submitted data, scoring errors, GPS inaccuracies, service interruptions or misuse of the app, except where liability cannot legally be excluded.

17. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of Scotland.

Consumer rights may also apply depending on where you live.
