Slaley Hall in Northumberland is home to the testing Hunting Course, a Dave Thomas design that phased its opening in 1989 and 1990. This parkland layout is characterised by undulating fairways framed by mature trees, strategic bunkering, and a number of water hazards that demand accuracy. The Hunting Course has a history of hosting professional events, including European Tour, Senior Tour, and PGA tournaments, which speaks to its challenging nature, though it has not been a venue for Final Qualifying for The Open Championship.

The Priestman Course at Slaley Hall, designed by Neil Coles, opened in 1999 and offers a contrasting challenge to its sister course, the Hunting. Situated on the west side of the estate with expansive views of the Tyne Valley, it plays over undulating terrain that feels more akin to a moorland layout. The course features strategically placed bunkers and water hazards, demanding careful negotiation despite its generally open and wide fairways. It has hosted European Tour events and regularly features in senior tour schedules, including a Legends Tour qualifying series event in 2023 and a PGA Professional Championship qualifier in 2022.
