Review
The golf is the main draw here, with two courses offering very different experiences. The Championship Course, winds through mature trees & rolling fairways, providing a true parkland layout that rewards accuracy and good course management. The shorter 9-hole Lynedoch Course is perfect for warm-ups, second rounds, or match play, with clever greens and water hazards that keep things interesting. Together they make Murrayshall a great choice for mixed-ability groups or anyone who simply loves varied, well-kept golf.
Must Know Tips
- 1Hole 3 (par 5) - Aim as far left as you can without risking hitting the trees, everything will kick right and being in the wrong spot means a long carry over some of the biggest bunkers around.
- 2Hole 8 (par 4) - For the best approach shot lay up short of the tree in the middle of the fairway. Also, whatever you do aim for the left of the green, right is guaranteed lost ball territory.
- 3Hole 17 (par 5) - The hole really opens up over the trees on the left so don't worry if it leaks out here.
Signature Holes
Hole 10
Your faced with a severely sloping fairway & strategic trees to be carefully navigated all before an approach shot over a pond guarding a tough to reach green.
Hole 15
A downhill par 5 that looks more like a weaving bobsled track than a golf hole, with its mounds & run-offs. If there is an eagle or albatross to be made its here.
Hole 4
Signature par 3 with a carry over water to a narrow, well protected green
