The Northumberland Golf Club, established in 1898, is a classic heathland course located in High Gosforth Park, Newcastle upon Tyne, England. Designed by renowned architects Harry Colt and James Braid, the course is known for its firm, fast greens and strategic bunkering, presenting a tactical challenge to golfers. The layout uniquely weaves in and out of the adjacent Newcastle Racecourse. Northumberland has a history of hosting significant amateur and professional events, including the Dunlop Masters and the English Amateur Championship. Notably, the club has served as a regional qualifying venue for The Open Championship on multiple occasions.
