Alnwick Castle Golf Club, situated in Northumberland, England, offers a parkland golfing experience with a rich history dating back to 1907. Originally a nine-hole course designed by George Rochester, the professional at Alnmouth, it was later extended to 18 holes in 1995. The course is known for its challenging nature and variety, set against the backdrop of the historic Alnwick Castle and offering views towards the Northumberland coast. A notable hole is the 12th, a dog-leg, uphill par 5 known as "Lang Whang." The club has recently benefited from significant investment from Northumberland Estates, including a new clubhouse which opened in 2022, featuring improved facilities and scenic views of the course and coastline. While the course provides a true test of golfing skills, it is not a well-known venue on the national or international stage, nor has it historically been a location for Open Championship Qualifying. Visitors are welcome to experience the course and the club's amenities.
