Wigan Golf Club, established in 1898, is a parkland course set within the scenic grounds of Haigh Hall in England. The club's historic clubhouse, Arley Hall, is notable for being surrounded by a 12th Century moat. Originally a nine-hole layout, the course was extended to eighteen holes in 1998 with the design work undertaken by Gaunt & Marnoch (Steve Marnoch). The course threads through mature trees and features undulating fairways, providing a good test of golf. While not among the longest courses, its design has stood the test of time.
