Minchinhampton Golf Club (The Avening Course)

Minchinhampton Golf Club's Avening course, designed by Fred Hawtree and later refined by his son Martin Hawtree, is a mature parkland layout set in the scenic Cotswolds countryside. Opened in 1975, this course presents a varied and challenging golfing experience with several lakes, strategic bunkers, and undulating greens. The Avening course has been recognized as an England Golf Championship venue and has hosted regional Open Qualifying on multiple occasions, including between 2002-2007 and 2018-2024.
