Cleeve Hill Golf Club, established in 1891, is a historic course situated on the highest point of the Cotswolds in England. Originally designed by Old Tom Morris and later refined by Dr. Alister MacKenzie, this layout offers a unique inland links experience. Located on common land, golfers share the dramatic, windswept terrain with walkers and grazing sheep, providing a raw and traditional feel. The course is known for its panoramic views, rugged contours, and challenging features, including blind shots and carries over disused quarries. It has previously served as a venue for Open Championship Regional Qualifying. Recently saved from potential closure, the club is now focused on enhancing this distinctive golfing landscape while retaining its inherent character.
