Knighton Heath Golf Club, located in Dorset, England, is a genuine heathland course with a fascinating history. Originally known as Northbourne Golf Club, it was established in 1932 and opened for play in 1934. The course was laid out by local professional Cecil Wren. It has seen changes in ownership and name over the years, becoming Knighton Heath Golf Club in 1976 when members raised funds to purchase it. The course itself is set on high ground with pine-flanked fairways and is known for its undulating terrain, numerous doglegs, and abundant heather. While not exceptionally long by modern standards, measuring around 6,000 to 6,075 yards from the back tees with a par of 70, it offers a challenging test requiring accuracy and thoughtful shot placement.
