Cecil Wren

Cecil Wren was a prominent Australian golf course architect active primarily in the mid-20th century. Known for his work across Australia, particularly in Victoria and South Australia, he designed or significantly altered several well-regarded courses including Royal Adelaide Golf Club, Metropolitan Golf Club in Melbourne, and Lake Karrinyup Country Club in Perth. Wren's designs were often characterized by strategic bunkering and a philosophy that respected and integrated the course into the natural landscape.
