Borth & Ynyslas Golf Club is a traditional links course located in Borth, Ceredigion, Wales, nestled on the estuary of the Dovey River and Cardigan Bay. Established in 1885, the club has a strong claim to being the oldest course in Wales and was a founder member of the Welsh Golfing Union. The course, redesigned by famous golf architect Harry Colt around 1945 or 1947, offers a stern but fair challenge with rolling humps, hollows, and strategically placed bunkers. While not long by modern standards, the 18-hole, par 70 course demands precision and strategic thinking. The course features an 'out and back' layout and provides views of the Irish Sea, the Dovey Valley Nature Reserve, and the Snowdonia National Park. A significant part of the course is within the Dyfi National Nature Reserve, and its maintenance is carried out with the environment in mind. Visitors are welcome daily, and the club offers various facilities including a pro shop, practice facilities (including a driving range, putting green, pitching green, chipping green, and practice bunker), club, trolley, and electro-cart hire, golf lessons, and a clubhouse with bar and restaurant facilities. Membership is available.
