Wilton Golf Club (18-Hole Course)

Wilton Golf Club, established in 1952 as part of ICI Wilton's Recreation Club, is an 18-hole parkland course nestled in the Tees Valley, England. Initially, golf matches were played on other courses until a 9-hole course, designed by J. F. S. Morrison of Colt Alister MacKenzie & Morrison, was constructed and opened in 1956. The course was later extended to 18 holes, with the new holes ready for play in 1966 and an official opening in May 1967 alongside a new clubhouse. The course is set in parkland with numerous mature trees and shrubs, offering undulating, tree-lined fairways and varied elevations with small plateau greens. While not exceptionally long at just over 6200 yards, the course provides a challenging yet enjoyable test for golfers. The club became a private, member-owned club in 1999 after ICI decided to sell the land. Visitors are welcome.
