Heaton Park Golf Club

Heaton Park Golf Club, established in 1912, is a parkland course situated within the extensive Heaton Park in Manchester, England. Designed by five-time Open Champion John Henry Taylor, the course opened to the public in 1911. It has hosted various professional and amateur events over the years. The course offers a challenging round with views of the Pennines and Manchester. Notably, the par-3 11th hole, which plays over water to a raised green, was once described by Open Champion Henry Cotton as "the toughest par-3 in England". The course layout has seen some changes since its inception, particularly in 1935 and 1997, to accommodate park developments and improve the routing.
