Northenden Golf Club, established in 1913 and located in Manchester, England, is a parkland course set in the Mersey Valley. The course, which is bordered by the River Mersey, has a history marked by challenges, including significant flooding in 1964 that led to a period of closure. A compulsory purchase order in 1969 for the M63 motorway necessitated a redesign of the course by Peter Alliss and Dave Thomas, which opened in 1973. Another major event in the club's history was a fire in 2014 that destroyed the clubhouse, leading to the opening of a new building in 2016. The 18-hole course is known for its well-maintained, true USGA greens and requires straight hitting due to the abundance of trees. While not a well-known Open Qualifying location, the club's professional has participated in final Open Qualifying events.
