Nestled in the scenic West Pennine Moors near Bolton, Dunscar Golf Club offers a moorland test established in 1908, with the 18-hole layout evolving after the First World War. This course provides a challenging round with fine views across the surrounding landscape. The 18 holes feature a blend of parkland and moorland characteristics, playing to a par of 71 from the main tees. Keep an eye out for the signature par-three 16th, known as the Quarry, a picturesque hole guarded by bunkers and natural hazards. Other holes, including the 3rd, 12th, and 17th, also offer memorable vistas. Dunscar operates as a private members' club but extends a welcome to visiting golfers. The club has not hosted Open Championship Qualifying events.
