Bury Golf Club, situated in England, boasts a rich history dating back to 1890. Originally located at Redvales, the club moved to its current site at Unsworth Hall, with the 18-hole course officially opening in 1922. The course was laid out under the guidance of the esteemed architect Alister MacKenzie, known for his work on many renowned courses. Characterised as a semi-moorland layout, the course is not overly long but places a premium on accuracy and thoughtful course management. A notable aspect of the design is the presence of MacKenzie's signature two-tier greens. The club also has a historical tie to the legendary Harry Vardon, a six-time Open Champion, who served as the club's first professional. Today, Bury Golf Club offers a traditional golf experience in the North West, providing a fair test for golfers amidst pleasant surroundings.
