Breightmet Golf Club, situated between Bolton and Bury in England, traces its origins back to 1911, with the course relocating to its current Red Lane site in 1914. Initially a nine-hole layout, the club expanded to a full 18 holes between 2004 and 2005, incorporating USGA green specifications. This parkland course presents a fair yet engaging test of golf, featuring a meandering brook and strategically placed water hazards that demand careful consideration. The 18 holes comprise four par 3s, twelve par 4s, and four par 5s, offering a balanced round. Playing from between approximately 5,300 and 6,400 yards depending on the tee, the course provides varying challenges. The final hole, a par 5, is noted for its risk-and-reward nature. While not a venue for Open Qualifying, Breightmet Golf Club is known for its welcoming atmosphere and provides enjoyable golf with some pleasant views, particularly across the back nine.
