Deane Golf Club (18-Hole Course)

Established in 1906, Deane Golf Club is a parkland course situated to the west of Bolton, offering a traditional golfing experience. The course is laid out in the valley of the River Croal, providing attractive views of the surrounding Rivington and West Pennine moors. Its character is defined by undulating fairways and natural features, including streams and testing ravines that come into play on several holes. A bunkering scheme was introduced in 1932 to enhance the strategic challenge. While not a championship venue in the national sense, it presents an enjoyable test of golf within a pleasant setting in England.
