Came Down Golf Club, established in 1896, is a historic downland course in Dorset, England, with a rich architectural history shaped by Tom Dunn, John Henry Taylor, and notably, Harry Colt who undertook a major remodelling. The club holds a unique place in golf history as the birthplace of the idea for the Ryder Cup, stemming from conversations between member Samuel Ryder and club professional Ernest Whitcombe. Set amidst rolling countryside, the course offers a traditional test of golf with panoramic views. While it boasts significant historical links to the game's development and prominent figures, it has not served as an Open Championship Qualifying venue.
