Heathland Course in Holyhead, Wales
Holyhead Golf Club, located on the Isle of Anglesey in northwestern Wales, is a challenging 18-hole heathland championship course designed by James Braid. Originally a 9-hole course opened in 1912, it was extended to 14 holes in 1912 and the full 18 holes debuted in 1914. The course measures 6090 yards with a par of 71 for men and 5208 yards with a par of 72 for ladies. Holyhead Golf Club features undulating fairways bounded by gorse, heather, and bracken, offering a real test of golf with views of Snowdonia mountains and the Irish Sea. The club offers practice facilities including a driving range, chipping green, and putting green, as well as golf lessons and club rental. Visitors are welcome daily, and the club has on-site dormy house accommodation. The clubhouse provides dining options.
