Perched overlooking the historic city of Bangor with sweeping views of the Menai Strait and Snowdonia, Bangor St. Deiniol Golf Club offers a golf experience steeped in history. Founded in 1906, the course was significantly influenced by the legendary five-time Open Champion James Braid, who redesigned it to 18 holes in the early 20th century. The layout, while not long by modern standards, is a challenging par 68 known for its undulating terrain, tight fairways, and strategic gorse, demanding precision and thoughtful course management. It provides a traditional Welsh golf outing without the fanfare of a championship venue and does not appear to have hosted Open Qualifying events.
