Bull Bay Golf Club

Bull Bay Golf Club, situated on the rugged coastline of Anglesey in Wales, offers a captivating golfing experience shaped by renowned architect W. Herbert Fowler. Established in 1913 with the support of the Marquis of Anglesey, the course was officially opened with an exhibition match featuring golfing greats John Henry Taylor and James Braid. Fowler masterfully utilized the natural undulations of the heathland terrain, incorporating features like blind shots and elevation changes that remain a hallmark of the course today. The layout climbs and falls, twisting through valleys and across plateaus, framed by rocky outcrops and gorse. Eleven of the greens sit above the level of the fairway, demanding precise approach shots, while many tees are elevated, offering expansive views and inviting drives. While not an Open Qualifying venue, Bull Bay has a history of hosting significant amateur events, including the Welsh Boys Championship and the National Inter Counties Championship.
