Conwy - Championship Links

Conwy Golf Club, officially opened in 1890 as Caernarfonshire Golf Club, is a championship links course situated on the Morfa Conwy peninsula in Conwy, Wales. [2, 5, 12] It offers stunning views of Conwy Bay, the Snowdonia mountain range, and Conwy Castle. [12, 13, 17] The course, originally designed by Jack Morris, nephew of Old Tom Morris, is an 18-hole, Par 72 course. [1, 2, 18] It has undergone modifications by Frank Pennink in the 1970s and Brian Huggett and Neil Coles in the 1980s. [2, 9, 11] Conwy Golf Club is a challenging yet player-friendly course suitable for golfers of all abilities and is the only Open Qualifying venue in Wales. [1, 5, 19] The club has hosted numerous prestigious events, including the European Amateur Team Championship, the Ladies European Tour, European Senior Tour events, R&A and LGU Home Internationals, and the Curtis Cup. [1, 2, 15] Practice facilities include a driving range, chipping greens, and a putting green. [1, 5, 8] The clubhouse offers a bar and restaurant, and changing rooms with showers and lockers are available. [1, 13, 17] Golf trolley, electric trolley, and buggy hire are also available. [5, 17]
