Troon Darley Golf Course is an 18-hole traditional Scottish links course located in Troon, Scotland, as part of the Troon Links complex alongside Lochgreen and Fullarton courses. Originally dating back to around 1910, the current layout with a par of 71 was opened on June 9th, 1951. Playing at 6321 yards from the white tees, Darley is renowned for its challenging nature, featuring tight, undulating fairways bordered by unforgiving heather, gorse, and whins, demanding accurate tee shots and strategic play. It is considered one of Scotland's most difficult courses to play to one's handicap. Recent and ongoing improvements by Pangaea Golf Architecture, in association with Paul Lawrie, and previous work by Kimber & Glen aim to enhance playability while retaining its character. Visitors are welcome daily.
