Lanark Golf Club ( Old Course)

Lanark Golf Club, established in 1851, is recognized as one of the world's oldest golf clubs and the oldest inland course. Located in Lanark, South Lanarkshire, Scotland, approximately 15 miles southeast of Glasgow, the club's Old Course is a classic 18-hole moorland layout set on ancient glacial sands, giving it an inland links feel. The course was originally laid out by Old Tom Morris and Ben Sayers in 1897, with significant revisions by James Braid in 1927. Renowned for its natural moorland fairways, fast greens, and scenic views, the par-70 course measures 6,428 yards from the back tees and offers a tough but fair challenge playable year-round due to its free-draining sandy base. The club has hosted various amateur championships and previously served as an Open Championship Regional Qualifying course.
