Bruntsfield Links Golfing Society, established in 1761, is the fourth oldest golfing society in the world and one of Scotland's most prestigious clubs, located in Edinburgh. Originally playing on the historic Bruntsfield Links, the Society moved to its current parkland course at Barnton in 1898. The 18-hole, par 71 course, spanning 6466 yards from the white tees, was initially designed by Willie Park Jr. Jnr and has undergone notable revisions by renowned architects including Dr Alistair Alister MacKenzie, James Braid, Fred Hawtree, and most recently, Mackenzie & Ebert (Martin Ebert). The course features well-placed bunkers, mature tree-lined fairways, and undulating greens. Bruntsfield Links has served as a regional qualifying venue for The Open Championship. The club offers extensive practice facilities, including a driving range, chipping green, and putting greens. A historic clubhouse provides dining and bar services, and visitors are welcome though booking in advance is recommended.
