West Hove Golf Club
Downland Course in Hove, England
West Hove Golf Club is set amidst the rolling chalk downland of the South Downs National Park in England. The club, founded in 1910, originally featured a course designed by the renowned James Braid. The current layout, however, came into being in 1991 following a relocation, designed by Hawtree & Son. This eighteen-hole course presents a good test of golf, winding through the landscape and requiring thoughtful shot-making. Notable is the 18th hole, a lengthy par five that stands as the longest in the county. The nature of the chalk terrain contributes to the course often being playable year-round.
