Dyke Golf Club (The Golf Club)

Perched high on the Sussex Downs with expansive views across the English Channel and the South Downs National Park, The Dyke Golf Club offers a compelling golfing experience near Brighton. Established in 1906, the original course was influenced by James Braid, though the current 18-hole, par 72 layout was redesigned by Fred Hawtree after the land was used for tank training during World War II. The course is known for its challenging downland terrain, rolling fairways, and greens that can be affected by the coastal breeze. While not consistently featured, the club has a history of hosting amateur open events and junior competitions.
