Nestled within the sprawling Woodcote Park estate on the Epsom Downs in Surrey, England, lies the esteemed Old Course at the Royal Automobile Club. This classic Parkland/Downland layout, a creation of the renowned architect Herbert Fowler, first welcomed golfers in 1915. Fowler's design hallmarks are evident throughout, featuring undulating green complexes and strategically placed, substantial fairway bunkers that demand precision. Woven through mature trees with glimpses towards Epsom Racecourse, the course presents a compelling test of golf, notably with its challenging and often lengthy par fours. Over its century-long history, the Old Course has played host to significant professional tournaments, including the Martini International, famously won by Seve Ballesteros in 1978, and the Bob Hope Classic.
