Tewkesbury Park Golf Club (The Deerpark)

Set in the rolling Gloucestershire countryside with expansive views towards the Malvern Hills and Cotswolds, The Deerpark course at Tewkesbury Park offers a compelling parkland golf experience. Originally designed by the esteemed architect Frank Pennink and opened in 1976, the course occupies land with a history dating back to a 12th-century deer park. More recently, enhancements have been made with input from Peter McEvoy and international agronomist John Clarkin, focusing on refining the challenge and playability. The layout is characterised by mature trees, strategic water hazards, and well-maintained greens. While providing a test for accomplished players with a need for accuracy, particularly on the front nine which features more wooded areas, the course generally offers a fair and enjoyable round. Bunkering has been a recent area of investment and refurbishment. Although it hosts various events and has received recognition in golf resort rankings, Tewkesbury Park Golf Club has not historically served as an Open Qualifying venue.
