Sweetwoods Park Golf Club, situated in the Wealden Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty on the Kent/Sussex border, opened in 1994. Originally farmland, the 18-hole parkland course was developed by farmers Peter Strand and Michael Hewson without formal architectural assistance. The course is known for its challenging layout, featuring dramatic tee shots, demanding approaches, and undulating greens. Natural lakes come into play on several holes, adding both beauty and strategic complexity. The course incorporates historical elements, including a Roman road and a wartime airstrip on some fairways. Sweetwoods Park offers a memorable golfing experience amidst mature woodland and views of the surrounding countryside.
