Stover Golf Club, situated on the edge of Newton Abbot in Devon, England, boasts a history that traces back to 1894 with a private course established by Major Harold St Maur. The current club was formally founded in 1931, featuring a design influenced by five-time Open Champion James Braid. The course is set within mature parkland and is known for its varied holes that incorporate elevation changes, established trees, and water features including streams and ponds. While the course is not among the most famous in the UK, it offers a pleasant and engaging round. Recent modifications have been made to the front nine due to local road development.
