Bovey Castle Golf Club
Parkland Course in North Bovey, England
Nestled on the edge of Dartmoor National Park in England, the golf course at Bovey Castle is an engaging test of golf with a compelling history. Originally designed by the esteemed Abercromby, J.F. (John Frederick) in 1926, the course officially opened in 1930, conceived to stand alongside the likes of Gleneagles and Turnberry. The layout meanders through the hotel estate, with the front nine particularly defined by the River Bovey, which influences play on several holes. While not an Open Qualifying venue, Bovey Castle has hosted various amateur open competitions.
