Shirley Park Golf Club
Parkland Course in Croydon, England
Established in 1914, Shirley Park Golf Club is a parkland course designed by the notable architects Tom Simpson and Herbert Fowler. Situated in Surrey, the course occupies 130 acres of undulating terrain, offering a varied test of golf with both challenging holes and more generous fairways. The club was officially opened by the then Lord Mayor of London, Sir Thomas Vansittart Bowater, and an exhibition match featuring Open Champions John Henry Taylor and Alex Herd followed the opening. The course remains largely true to its original design. Shirley Park Golf Club has not been a venue for Open Championship Qualifying.
