Selsdon Park Golf Club

Selsdon Park, located in South Croydon, England, featured a parkland course with a history dating back to 1929. Designed by five-time Open champion John Henry Taylor, the layout made use of the undulating terrain, with mature trees shaping many of the holes. The course offered a traditional test of golf, requiring accuracy particularly on some of the shorter par-fours. Over the years, the course saw various modifications while respecting Taylor's original design principles. Historically, Selsdon Park hosted professional events, including the PGA Super 60s and the Coombe Hill Assistants' Tournament. The facility was associated with the Selsdon Park Hotel, providing lodging and amenities. However, the golf course was reported to have closed towards the end of 2021 or in 2022 and has since been described as being re-wilded, with the hotel also undergoing significant changes and closures.
