Ryton Golf Club

Parkland Course in Ryton, England

Ryton Golf Club, established in 1891, is nestled in the picturesque Tyne Valley. The course, bordered by the River Tyne, presents a deceptive challenge despite its relatively short length of just over 6,000 yards. Accuracy is paramount, particularly on tee shots and approaches to the greens. The parkland layout requires strategic play to navigate tight fairways and avoid unforgiving hazards. The club's history is linked with the nearby Tyneside Golf Club, sharing the Ryton Willows site in its early years. The course moved to its current location in 1911 and was extended to 18 holes in 1982. The stone-built clubhouse offers a bar and restaurant facilities.
