Nestled within the historic landscape of Richmond Park in London, England, the Prince's Course at Richmond Park Golf Club offers a public parkland golfing experience. Originally opened in 1923 by the Prince of Wales, the course was commissioned by King George V and designed by John Henry Taylor and Fred Hawtree with the intention of making golf accessible. The course has undergone modernisation over the years, including work by Martin Hawtree in the 1980s and a significant renovation completed in 2014. The Prince's is the shorter of the two courses on site, measuring approximately 5,487 yards with a par of 68. It features an undulating layout providing elevated views of the surrounding parkland. Recent renovations introduced USGA specification greens and updated bunkering and water hazards, including a notable risk-reward par-4 18th hole. The course is often favoured by golfers seeking a less daunting round, offering wide fairways. Facilities include a driving range, putting green, and a clubhouse with dining options, and golf lessons and buggy hire are available.
