Nelson Golf Club, founded in 1902, is situated on a plateau overlooking Nelson and Burnley in England. The 18-hole moorland course was designed by Dr. Alister MacKenzie. The layout features two loops of nine holes, with the 1st and 10th tees conveniently located near the clubhouse. The course is known for testing a golfer's ability on and around its small greens, with no two holes being the same. Photographs from the club's early years show women actively participating. The club has a history of hosting national championships.
