Malden Golf Club

Malden Golf Club, situated in Surrey, England, traces its origins back to 1893 as the Raynes Park Golf Club, moving to its current parkland site in 1926. The course, influenced by Alex Herd, one of the notable professionals of the era, retains much of its original character despite later enhancements. This mature parkland layout, measuring 6,295 yards with a par of 71, presents a varied test. The initial nine holes occupy the lower terrain, where meandering brooks frequently come into play, demanding careful strategy from the tee. The latter half of the course features more elevation changes and includes three par fives, offering opportunities for longer hitters, though trees and bunkers provide ample challenge for errant shots. The course also incorporates testing par threes and fours that skirt the perimeter, adding to the scoring difficulty. While not a consistent Open Qualifying venue, Malden Golf Club did host Regional Qualifying for The Open in 2021.
