Knotty Hill Golf Centre, located near Sedgefield in County Durham, England, is a comprehensive pay-and-play facility established in 1991 by Denis Craggs with the vision of providing affordable, accessible golf. The centre has grown significantly from its initial driving range to offer 45 holes across three courses: the 18-hole Princes, the 18-hole Bishops, and the 9-hole Dukes. The Dukes course, specifically, is a par 35 playing at 2327 yards, designed to offer a different test compared to the longer layouts. The courses are set in parkland, featuring mature trees, water hazards, and bunkers. While not a championship venue or Open Qualifying location, Knotty Hill provides a friendly and inclusive atmosphere suitable for golfers of all skill levels. The facility also includes extensive practice areas, such as a driving range, chipping green with a practice bunker, and a putting green.
