Nestled in the leafy surroundings of Bushey Heath, Hartsbourne Country Club offers a parkland golf experience with a rich history. Originally designed in the 1920s by the notable architectural partnership of F.G. Hawtree and five-time Open Champion John Henry Taylor, the club boasts 27 holes set within 180 acres. The premier layout is the 18-hole Willows course, a par 71 test featuring undulating greens, strategically placed bunkers, and water hazards in the form of ditches and brooks. While not an Open Qualifying venue, Hartsbourne played a significant role in professional golf history by hosting the prestigious Gor-Ray PGA Championships throughout the 1950s and 1960s, an event won by esteemed players including Peter Alliss and Tony Jacklin.
