Chorleywood Golf Club, founded in 1890, holds the distinction of being the oldest golf club in Hertfordshire. Initially an 18-hole layout with holes crossing the railway line, the course was redesigned in 1922 by the renowned architect James Braid, resulting in the present 9-hole configuration. Situated on Chorleywood Common, the course offers a pleasant setting, though golfers should be mindful that it is common land with public access. The club features a modern clubhouse with changing facilities, a bar, and catering options. While there isn't a traditional pro shop, the club does have an associate golf professional. The course itself is a parkland layout.
