Nestled within the historic Moor Park estate in Hertfordshire, Rickmansworth Golf Course offers a municipal golf experience with a notable heritage. Originally the East Course of Moor Park Golf Club, designed by the renowned Harry Colt, it became a public course in 1937 when the local council acquired the land. Affectionately known as 'Tricky Ricky', the course is an 18-hole parkland layout. While not long, measuring just over 4,600 yards with a par of 65, it provides a good test of accuracy rather than power. The course is characterised by undulating fairways and small, often challenging, greens that demand a precise touch. Despite its relatively modest length, navigating 'Tricky Ricky' successfully requires thoughtful course management and a sharp short game.
